Argentina no ingresó a la categoría Mejor Película Internacional en los Oscars: quiénes son los nominados

Los Premios Oscar 2026 anunciaron este jueves a sus nominados y Argentina se quedó afuera de los candidatos para Mejor Película Internacional, categoría para la que estaba en carrera “Belén”.

La ceremonia organizada por la Academia tendrá lugar el próximo 15 de marzo en el Teatro Dolby de Hollywood, en Los Ángeles, y reconocerá a lo mejor del séptimo arte en el 2025. Previamente, esta mañana, el actor Lewis Pullman y la actríz Danielle Brooks revelaron las nominaciones para la nueva edición.

El film argentino enviado a competir para entrar al Oscar, “Belén”, no fue tenido en cuenta y quedó relegado ante “The Secret Agent” (Brasil), “It Was Just An Accident” (Francia), “Sentimental Value” (Noruega), “Sirat” (España) y “The Voice of Hind Rajab” (Túnez). 

La historia dirigida por Dolores Fonzi y producida por Hugo Sigman, Leticia Cristi y Matías Mosteirín es una adaptación de la novela “Somos Belén”, la cual relata la historia de una joven que enfrenta una sentencia de prisión luego de ser atendida en un hospital por dolores abdominales, bajo la acusación de cometer un aborto ilegal.

En la instancia nacional, “Belén” fue elegida por sobre “Homo Argentum” (de Mariano Cohn y Gastón Duprat); “Algo nuevo, algo viejo, algo prestado” (de Hernán Rosselli) y “La mujer de la fila” (de Benjamín Ávila).
