Este domingo 27 de marzo se realizó la 94ª edición de los Premios Oscar en el The Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles, California. La gala volvió a tener público luego de que la pandemia no permitiera la presencia del público en la edición anterior. Los premios galardonaron a lo mejor del cine estrenado entre los meses enero y diciembre del 2021.
“The Power of the Dog” era una de las grandes candidatas de la noche con doce nominaciones, pero solo ganó en la categoría de Mejor Director, con lo cual su creadora, Jane Campion, se convirtió en la tercera mujer en llevarse este galardón después de Kathryn Bigelow por “The Hurt Locker” en 2010 y Chloé Zhao por “Nomadland” en 2021.
Por su parte “Dune” fue la película más ganadora de la jornada con seis estatuillas: Mejor Edición de Sonido, Banda Sonora, Montaje, Diseño de Producción, Fotografía y Efectos Visuales. Y “CODA” se alzó con el premio a Mejor Película, Actor de reparto y Guión Adaptado.
